CHARITABLE DONATION REQUEST PROCEDURES

Thank you for your interest in requesting a donation for your event from the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa.

The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is compassionate to the needs of our local community and strive to give back as often as possible. Due to the numerous amounts of requests we receive, we have outlined parameters on charitable donations.

All donation requests are handled through the Executive Office and reviewed by a Committee. Requesting from Hotel, Spa and Restaurant individually is not necessary. Due to the volume of requests, we cannot give to all causes, worthy as they may be. We give preference to local charities and events in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco County and occasionally, donate outside of our community. In order to assist us in processing your request, please provide us with the following information. Requests outside these guidlelines will not be considered. 

1. Send your request letter on your organization’s letterhead via e-mail or US mail or deliver in person at least one month prior to your event. Please send to Jean Barraclough, Executive Administrator:

2. To assist us in our evaluation and selection process, please include the following information in your request letter or cover fax/email:

a.  Date of the event &  “Need to Know” date or deadline for program printing, etc. 
b.  What you would like for us to donate & why. Please provide details on the organization, who it will benefit, etc
c.  Location of event & expected number of attendees
d.  Any personal or business relationship with the Resort – have you been a guest, held an event here, attended an event here, etc.

3. Please follow up once prior to your deadline, preferably by email, and mention the name of the organization or event, the date of the event, your name and phone number. Donations are mailed in a timely fashion to meet your deadlines or we may call to ask you to arrange for pick up.
